Order of precedence. A signed statement of work, accepted quote, or marketplace work order (e.g. Field Nation) governs where its terms explicitly conflict with this document. These terms serve as the baseline for all unstated conditions and apply in full to direct engagements.
Discretionary waivers. These terms represent standard operating procedures. Individual charges or policies may be adjusted or waived at the sole discretion of Synapse Networking Solutions based on engagement context. Waiving a term in one instance does not establish a precedent or waive that term for any future engagement.
1 · Rates & Minimums
The base rate for an engagement is the rate stated on the accepted work order, quote, or statement of work. Unless the engagement is executed as a fixed bid, all on-site work is billed as follows:
Site visit minimum Every physical dispatch bills a minimum of two (2) hours to cover initial routing and on-site time.
2-hour minimum
Additional time Time exceeding the first two hours, rounded up to the nearest 30-minute increment.
Hourly, 30-min increments
Fixed bid Available for well-defined scopes. Priced strictly against the written SOW; see §6 for out-of-scope work.
By written quote
Remote support Phone, remote-session, or off-site configuration work.
Hourly, 30-min increments, no visit minimum
2 · Scheduling Premiums
The applicable billing window is determined by the scheduled arrival time. Premiums stack with the short-notice surcharge where both apply.
Standard hours Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM local time.
1.0× base rate
After hours & weekends Outside standard hours, Saturdays, and Sundays.

+25% surcharge
3 · Travel & Mileage
The trip charge applies to every physical dispatch regardless of distance. The per-mile rate automatically tracks the current IRS standard mileage rate.
Trip charge Flat fee per dispatch covering the first 30 miles of travel, measured by driving distance from the Los Angeles service base.
$25.00 flat

$0.725 / mile
Extended travel time Drive time exceeding 60 minutes in a single direction.

4 · Cancellation & Rescheduling
One reschedule per engagement is permitted at no charge if requested with more than 24 hours' notice. Additional reschedules, or reschedules requested inside 24 hours, are treated as cancellations under the schedule below. The subsequent visit is billed as a new engagement.

No charge
Less than 24 hours before scheduled arrival
50% of scheduled block or visit minimum, whichever is greater
Technician en route or on site
100% of scheduled block or visit minimum + travel
5 · Site Access & Wait Time
The client is responsible for ensuring site access, escorts, required credentials, and an available point of contact during the scheduled window.
Billable time commences at the scheduled arrival time or actual arrival, whichever is later.
Access delays. The first 30 minutes of access delay are included. Subsequent delay bills at the standard hourly rate. If access is not granted within 60 minutes of arrival, the technician may depart, and the visit bills at the full visit minimum plus travel.
On-site delays. Time spent waiting on client-side remote support, approvals, or hardware shipments while on site is strictly billable.
6 · Scope of Work & Changes
Work is executed against the written scope agreed upon prior to dispatch. Ad-hoc requests or out-of-scope additions require written approval (email or text is sufficient) and bill at the base hourly rate. On fixed-bid engagements, out-of-scope labor is billed separately and does not convert the primary engagement to an hourly structure.
7 · Revisits & Workmanship
Workmanship warranty. Labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of service completion. Defects in workmanship are corrected at no charge.
Exclusions. No warranty is made on client-supplied parts, third-party hardware or software, or pre-existing conditions discovered during service.
Client-cause revisits. Return visits required due to client-side failures (site unprepared, missing or incorrect hardware, invalid credentials) are billed as a new dispatch subject to standard minimums and travel charges.
8 · Invoicing, Payment & Disputes
Every visit concludes with photographic documentation, closeout notes, and client sign-off where available. This documentation serves as the definitive record of work performed.
